Target fish: trout

DRESSING:

Hook: 8 - 12 (for wet fly)
Mounting thread: black
Teil: red ibis feather or subsitute
Body: flat silver tinsel
Body Rib: oval silver tinsel
Hackles: black hen, mounted wet style
Wings: 2 times 6 to 8 herls of sword peackcock feather.
Cheeks: 2 jungle cock feathers, one each side. The JC was not present in the original pattern.

Notes: An attractor pattern of very old origin; it is not imitating anything specific. On my personal record it accounted for trout and chub when used as wet fly. It was extremely popular between the end of the XIX and the early XX century.
